City tour of Delhi. In Old Delhi visit Raj Ghat, Jama Masjid and drive past Red Fort and Chandni Chowk. Check-out from the hotel at 1200 hrs. In New Delhi visit Qutub Minar built by Qutub-ud-Din Aibek in 1199, Humayun's Tomb, India Gate and Lakshminarayan Temple. Drive past President's House, Parliament House and Government Secretariat Buildings. Evening transfer to rail-station for Jaisalmer night train. Night on board.
Day 03 :- Jaisalmer
Morning in train. Arrive Jaisalmer at noon. Transfer to hotel. Overnight Jaisalmer
Day 04 :- Jaisalmer to Jodhpur
Morning city tour of Jaisalmer. Visit the fort, bazaars and the old mansions known as haveli's. People still live in these ancient building dating from 12th to 15th centaury. Every house has exquisite carvings and filigreed work. Checkout from the hotel at 1200 hours. Later transfer to railway station for Jodhpur night train. Night on board
Day 05 :- Jodhpur
Morning arrive Jodhpur. Transfer to hotel. City tour of Jodhpur. Visit the Meharangarh Fort situated on a low sandstone Hill, including Moti-Mahal and Phool Mahal. Also visit Jaswant Thada, an imposing Marble Memorium built in 1899 and the museum located in the Umaid Public Gardens. Overnight Jodhpur.
Day 06 :- Jodhpur to Ranakpur and Udaipur
Drive to Udaipur visiting Ranakpur Temples enroute. Ranakpur Jain Temples built in the 15th century are situated in the lovely valley of the Aravali. There are 1444 pillars in the temple and none of them are similar. The magic of light & shade is really awe inspiring. Surya Temple and other Jain Temples are side attractions. Overnight Udaipur.
Day 07 :- Udaipur
Morning tour of Udaipur. Visit the City Palace, Jagdish Temple, Sahelion ki Bari, Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandir and drive around Fatehsagar Lake. Afternoon free. Overnight Udaipur.
Day 08 :- Udaipur to Jaipur
Morning free. Checkout at 1200 hrs. Evening transfer to railway-station for Jaipur night train. Night on board.

Jaipur - the capital of Rajasthan was given a colour coat of pink a century ago in honour of a visiting Prince. Built by Maharaja Jai Singh, the notable astronomer, this city is 260 years old. Visit Maharaja's City Palace, & the Observatory . Drive past Hawa Mahal & through the pink rose residential & business areas. Overnight Jaipur.

Later visit the Agra Fort containing the Halls of Public and Private Audience. Overnight Agra.

Morning transfer to rail-station for Gwalior train. On arrival in Gwalior, transfer to hotel. Afternoon visit the Man Mandir, Gujari Mahal (archaeological museum), The Fort, Temples of Sas-Bahu, Teli Ka Mandir, Jai Vilas Palace, Tomb of Gaus Mohammad and the Mausoleum of Tansen. Overnight Gwalior.
Day 06 :- Gwalior to Jhansi and Khajuraho
Morning transfer to rail-station for Jhansi train. Arrive Jhansi & drive to Khajuraho. Overnight Khajuraho.
Day 07 :- Khajuraho
Morning visit the world famous Khajuraho temples were built by the Chandela kings between 950 AD and 1050 AD. The most important are the Chaunset Yogini Temple dedicated to Goddess Kali, The Mahadev Temple, Chitragupta or Bharatji Temple with a lovely image of 11 headed Vishnu, Vishvanath and Nandi Temples, Lakshmana Temple, Visha Temple of Shiva, which is the largest & most typical of temples. Visit the Eastern group of temples that consist of the Parasvanath Temple - the only Jain Temple surviving at Khajuraho and has excellent sculptures on the outer walls of the Sanctum, the Javeri Temple dedicated to Vishnu. The other temples in this group are those dedicated to Brahma, Yamuna and Adinath. Afternoon free. Overnight Khajuraho.
Day 08 :- Khajuraho to Varanasi (Banaras)
Transfer to airport for Varanasi flight. Arrive Varanasi and transfer to hotel. Rest of the Day at leisure. Overnight Varanasi.
Day 09 :- Varanasi to Delhi
Early morning boat excursion on the river Ganges. People bathe early in the morning to offer the prayers to the rising sun. The two cremation ghats are Manikarnika & Harishchandra where funeral pyre burns Day and night. Every pious Hindu believes that to die in Kashi and to be cremated on banks of the Ganges is to attain release from the cycle of birth and death.Check-out at 1200 hrs. Evening transfer to rail-station for New Delhi night train. Overnight onboard train.

Full Day tour of Mahabalipuram & Kanchipuram. Kanchipuram (64 kms from Madras) is the ancient capital of the Pallavas famous as a city of 1000 Temples and still has 124 shrines. The first temple dedicated to Shiva was built in the 7th and 8th century and has paintings on the walls. Temples of Ekambaswara, Kailasanatha, Sri Kamakshi and Varadarajaswamy are of interest. Kanchipuram is also famous for its silks. The city of Mahabalipuram is famous for the seven pagodas. Here on the seashore is an interesting group of ancient rock hewn temples which are the examples of Dravidian style of Architecture. Overnight Chennai.
Day 03 :- Chennai to Madurai
Morning city tour. Visit the Museum to see the Art and Bronze Gallery (Closed on FriDays and Public holiDays). Drive through the Flower and Fruit market, High court, Fort museum, Marina Beach, Santhome Cathedral and snake park. Check-out at 1200 hrs from the hotel. Late evening transfer to rail-station for Madurai night train. Night on board train.
Day 04 :- Madurai
Morning arrive Madurai and transfer to hotel. Afternoon visit the great Meenakshi Temple dedicated to the consort of Lord Shiva with its towering gopurams (rising high above the surrounding country side). Later, visit the Tirumala Nayak Palace - A gracious building in the Indo saracenic style, famous for the Stucco work on its domes & arches. Also visit the Alagar Hills and Tirupara Kundran Rock temple. Afternoon free. Overnight Madurai.
Day 05 :- Madurai to Periyar (Thekkady)
Morning drive to Periyar National Park.Free time for game viewing. Set up in 1934, it extends to 777 square kms & forms part of the high mountain ranges, the Western Ghats. Wild life can be seen while cruising on Periyar Lake in a motor boat. Amongst the animals which can be seen are elephants, wild boar, sambar, tiger, leopard, wild dog, langur monkeys, etc. Overnight Periyar.
Day 06 :- Periyar to Trivandrum
Drive to Trivandrum viewing the scenic beauty enroute. Kerala is lush green and is full of lakes and water. Overnight Trivandrum.

Day free in Trivandrum or optional tours to Cape Comorin (Kanya Kumari - the southern most part of India) or nearby places like Kovalam beach, etc. Overnight Trivandrum.
